KARACHI, Aug 29: Imdad Hussain produced another fine display with four-under-par second round of 68 to emerge sole leader on the second day of Rs0.5million 5th Sindh Open Golf Championship at Arabian Sea Country Club on Friday.
Imdad of Garrison Club Lahore, who was joint leader with Shabbir Iqbal of Islamabad on the first day, took a three stroke lead against his closest rival Shabbir.
At the end of second round Imdad is leading the pack with nine-under-par 135. He ended the round with seven birdies but also had four bogeys.
CNS winner, Shabbir was not in the best of form, finishing the day with one-under-par 71 to end with six- under-ar 138, three stroke behind the leader.
Shakeel Rehmati of Quetta also shot four-under-par 68 to tie with Shabbir for the second place with two-under-par 138.
Reigning champion Matloob Ahmed maintained his sixth place and tied with Afzal Moshin with with two-over-par 142.
Among the amateurs Ali Hai is leading the field with two-over- par 142. After firing a round of two-under-ar, he had carded 72 in the second round.
However Ali Hai will leaving for USA and will taking no further part in the event.
