GUJRANWALA, Aug 29: A joint raiding team of agriculture and police departments arrested on Friday two pesticide dealers in Wazirabad and Kamoki for selling spurious products to farmers.

Reports said District Agriculture Officer Shaukat Ali and his deputy Muhammad Zafar Iqbal conducted a raid in Wazirabad and arrested Rana Muhammad Iqbal, who was found selling spurious pesticides.

While another team arrested Shabbir Husain on the same charge. Police have registered cases against the suspects.

KILLED: A man was stabbed to death by his nephew for stopping him from giving up bad company at Saleem Colony on Friday.

Reports said Ijaz Ali was at his home when Muhammad Amir, Khalid and Boota came there and stabbed him after an exchange of harsh words.

Civil Lines police have registered a case and are investigating.

STATEMENT: A local court continued hearing the case of serial killing of call girls, and recorded statement of an eye-witness on Friday.

The prosecution witnesses reportedly changed their statements, saying accused Maulvi Ghulam Sarwar was not involved in the killings.

The court also recorded the statement of an investigating officer, SI Muhammad Nawaz, and ASI Ijaz Ali before adjourning the hearing till Nov 3.
