KARACHI, Aug 24: The strike being observed by All Pakistan Oil Tankers Owners Association against the PSO entered its fourth day on Sunday.
Vice-president of APOTOA Haji Faiz told Dawn that his association would decide its future line of action concerning the ongoing strike at a meeting scheduled to be held at 10am in Shireen Jinnah Colony on Monday. He added that other transport groups might join the strike. He criticized the secretary petroleum for not directly contacting APOTOA, and approaching them through the DIG.
A PSO spokesman said on Saturday that 400 tank lorries were filled and 200 more would be filled on Sunday. He said the process of filling the lorries would also continue during night. “Petroleum supplies are normal throughout the country and there is no shortage”, said the spokesman.
