The students were Uzma, Khalida, Farhat Yasmin, Shagufta Kanwal, Aasia, Tahira, Razia, Shahnaz, Shamim, Shakila, Farzana and Azmat Bibi. They were taken to the District Headquarters Hospital’s emergency unit where doctors suspected food poisoning. Two of them were admitted there while the others were relieved after treatment.

When contacted, the school principal said there was a usual vegetable dish served to the students, who might have fallen unconscious because of food poisoning.

Muhammad Siddiq, a resident of Chak 362-JB, was on his way home by his motorcycle (RNG-4665) when a rashly-driven bus (PR-2730), coming from Gojra, hit him. He died instantly.
