LAHORE, Aug 21: Punjab University Vice-Chancellor Lt-Gen (retired) Arshad Mahmood has been granted extension for another two years.

The extension period will be effective from Sept 24, 2003.

A notification —- GS(B)3-2/2003-355 —- in this regard was issued by the Punjab Governor, who is also chancellor of the Punjab University, late on Thursday night.

The notification says: “In exercise of the powers conferred on him under section 14(1) of the Punjab University Act 1973, the Governor/Chancellor is pleased to appoint Lt-Gen (retired) Arshad Mahmood as vice-chancellor of the Punjab University for another term of two years with effect from Sept 24, 2003.”
