LAHORE, Aug 20: Federal interior minister Makhdoom Faisal Saleh Hayat has been nominated as a candidate for the presidency of the Pakistan Football Federation (PFF).

PFF elections are scheduled to be held on Aug 28 in Lahore.

A spokesman of the group which held a meeting in Islamabad the other day announced the incomplete panel. The group did not announce the names of the candidates for the post of secretary-general, two associate secretaries and a treasurer.

It is being tipped that Pervez Saeed Mir of Pakistan Air Force   would be the candidate of the group for the secretaryship.

The group claimed the meeting was also attended by Brig Arif Siddiqi, a representative of Pakistan Army, Pervez Saeed Mir, Haji Saleem Saifullah (NWFP), Riaz Pirzada (Punjab) and Irfan Gohar (Railways).   

The group did not mention the names of the representatives of Pakistan Navy, Wapda, PIA, UGC and Police, who attended the meeting.

Others nominees are:

Senior vice-president: Arshad Khan Lodhi.

Vice-presidents: Younus Changezi (Balochistan), Nasir Karim Baloch (Sindh), Mohammad Saeed Khan (NWFP).
