LONDON, Aug 18: Pakistan leg-spinner Mushtaq Ahmed clinched a match haul off 11 wickets and took his season’s tally to 82 victims as Sussex pulled off a 252-run win against Lancashire in the county championship at Hove on Sunday.
Mushtaq grabbed five of the last six wickets on a slow turning pitch to maintain Sussex’s hopes of clinching their first-ever title with four matches remaining.
Mushtaq, who had also featured with the bat in his side’s first innings score of 385, finished with 5-49 to follow his earlier analysis of 6-124 as Lancashire were dismissed for 377.
