KARACHI, Aug 17: Khurram Manzoor hammered a magnificent century as Karachi romped to a convincing 74-run over Sialkot in the PCB one-day inter-region cricket tournament match at Quaid-i-Azam Cricket Park.
Khurram made 113 off 138 balls to help his side reach 259 for four in their 50 overs after Faraz Patel, who was named as skipper by PCB selectors, had won the toss and chose to bat first.
Khurram’s knock contained 15 fours and two sixes. Khurram and Daniyal Ahsan, who hit an unbeaten 66 off 65 balls with the aid of five boundaries, put on 105 for the third wicket.
Sialkot never really threatened to run away with game and were curtailed to 185 all out in 47.2 overs. Both teams will play the three-day match as per schedule from Monday.
