Police attacked, accused freed

SUKKUR, Aug 17: A police party was looted by armed men who also got released one of their accomplices in the limits of the A-section police station, Sukkur, on Sunday.

A police party of the Baberloi police station, Khairpur, had arrived at Sukkur along with an accused, Shaman Khoso, for some investigation.

When the police party reached Garam Godi, they were attacked by some armed men as a result of which a head constable, Ghulam Shabbir Memon, was injured.

The armed men snatched a gold locket, wristwatches and cash from the police. They fled taking their accomplice, Shaman, with them.

Inspector Gul Hassan Jatoi has registered an FIR at the A-section police station against Shaman, Waheed Khoso, Ghulam Sarwar Khoso, Nizam Khoso and others.
