Sindh govt criticized

By Our Correspondent

SHIKARPUR, Aug 16: The Jeay Sindh Mahaz (Z) chairman, Syed Zain Shah, has said that Muttehida Qaumi Movement and its allied parties in the provincial government are not sincere in the restoration of usurped rights of Sindh.

He said this while speaking at a press conference at Mohammad Yaqoob Mungrani village Garhi Yasin taluka on Saturday.

Mr Shah said the coalition could not solve Sindh’s problem in the National Assembly too. He assured full support of the JSM (Z), if any movement was launched on one-point agenda of rejecting the greater Thal canal and Kalabagh dam.

Speaking on the occasion, former deputy speaker provincial assembly, Syed Jalal Mehmood Shah, said the people of Sindh had been deprived of their inalienable rights, including provincial autonomy, Indus waters and natural resources by the Centre.

Expressing his concern over the indifferent attitude of the elected representatives towards restoration of usurped rights of Sindh, Mr Shah said they had failed to stop the construction of greater Thal canal and Kalabagh dam through the National Assembly and the Senate.

About the joint protest movement of PPP, Awami Tehrik, Sindh Taraqqi Passand Party and other political parties against greater Thal canal, he said all parties should unite on one platform to launch protest on one-point agenda.

. Replying to a question, he said the local government system was like one-unit which was running under the control of the central government and the National Reconstruction Bureau.
