ISLAMABAD, Aug 15: Water Supply Directorate of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) has assured regular and sufficient water supply to the citizens.

According to official sources, the directorate is committed to provide water to the consumers.

They asserted that CDA had taken stringent measures to check water wastage and imposed ban on water suction motors and cut off all illegal connections to conserve water.

They said, during the last few days, the CDA confiscated several illegal suction motors and disconnected water connections of law violators.

They also urged the water users to avoid unnecessary wastage of water by washing cars and watering the gardens.

According to them, the CDA has sets up quality control system to check water pollution and contamination on the spot.

The CDA Water Directorate called upon the water users to immediately inform the authority’s staff in case of supply of infectious and contaminated water.

To ensure continued supply of quality water, the directorate advised the citizens to get their overhead and under ground water tanks cleaned and disinfected periodically.

The CDA has asked the citizens that in case of water shortage they can contact the directorate’s offices.—APP
