Three killed over petty issues


DARRA ADAMKHEL, Aug 13: Three people have been shot dead and a woman injured in different incidents.

During a Jirga in Sharifkhel village, about a kilometre from Darra bazaar, Saifullah was gunned down when he abused a woman of the rival party. He died on way to a hospital. A woman was also injured in the incident.

In the second incident, a man, Rahimzad killed his son Qaisar when the latter sought reason why the former divorced his wife. While arguing Rahimzad opened fire, killing his son on the spot.

A young student was killed in a third incident when policemen of Mattani police station raided a place where a cricket match was being held. The police were harassing the players when a young student, Yar Rehman, started to run away. A policeman opened fire, killing him on the spot.—Correspondent
