PESHAWAR, Aug 13: An old rivalry claimed six lives in Daulatpura village of Charsadda district on Wednesday morning, official sources told Dawn .

Akbar Khan, a resident of Mathra Nau, Charsadda, had old enmity with the family of Mohibullah, a resident of Jamat hamlet of Daulatpura area.

On Wednesday morning, Akbar Khan was going to Charsadda in his car (GTA-3485) along with his five companions to appear before the sessions court in Charsadda.

When they reached near Azeem Ullah Khan Dheri in Daulatpura village, his rivals ambushed their vehicle killing them on the spot.

The killers escaped towards Mohmand Agency in a vehicle they parked along the roadside, sources said.

Those killed included Akbar Khan, son of Abdul Ghani, Khwaja Mohammad, son of Yaqoob; Misbah Ullah, son of Hamdillah, residents of Mathra Nau; Alamzeb, son of Hanif Ullah, a resident of Katozai; Hidayat Ullah, son of Asmat Ullah and Watay, son of Gulzar, residents of Hasanzai.

Family of Akbar Khan lodged an FIR with Batagram police nominating 10 persons of the rival party. They included Fayyaz and Abdullah, sons of Mohib Ullah; Sajjad, son of Sardar; Siyyar, son of Khan Mohammad; Tawiz Gul, son of Bajaury; Mushtaq, son of Jan Mohammad, residents of Jamat; Rahat Shah, son of Nadir Khan, a resident of Mathra; Ikhtiyar Gul, son of Qadir Khan, a resident of Mian Kalli; Yousuf Khan alias Fauji, son of Badiuz Zaman, a resident of Ghrumbak; Rasheed, son of Ziaud Din, a resident of Chargano Kalli.

Sources in Daulatpura said that the family of Akbar Khan had 13-year old enmity with the family of Mohib Ullah, which started after a scuffle on a minor issue.

Akbar Khan’s family was living in Jamat, but they had to migrate to another nearby village, Mathra Nau, after the killing of his father and two brothers allegedly by their rivals a few years back.
