Lady doctor, daughter die on road

GUJRANWALA, Aug 9: A lady doctor of Vehari and her three-year-old daughter were killed while her husband and three other children suffered injuries on Saturday in an accident on GT Road near Wazirabad.

Shakila Muzammil Javed was on her way to Murree along with her family members by a car (LXZ-123) when her vehicle collided head-on with a tractor-trolley at high speed. Shakila and her daughter Robina died instantly while her husband Javed and children Maaz (8), Amina (6) and infant Abdullah sustained serious injuries. They were rushed to the THQ Hospital, Wazirabad, in critical condition. The National Highway and Motorway Police caught driver Asgher Ali and handed him over to police.
