HYDERABAD, Aug 9: Residents of Qadamgah Maula Ali blocked the main road and held a sit-in at the Kohinoor Chowk on Saturday to protest against the accumulation of sewage which was entering their homes.

They blocked the road for some time and also burnt tyres.

Raising slogans against the city Taluka Municipal Administration, they said that their complaints had fallen on deaf ears.

They said that both sewage and stagnant water had accumulated on the roads and streets, causing a lot of difficulties for the people.

They went to the office of the Taluka Nazim, City, Haji Moinuddin Sheikh, to inform him about the situation.

The Nazim said that if there was any fault on the part of the city Taluka Municipal Administration it would be rectified and labourers would be provided to the people so that their locality could be cleaned.
