Man kills wife, brother over Karo-kari

LARKANA, Aug 9: Two people were killed in Ali Jan Raitti village on the pretext of Karo-kari on Saturday.

Ishaque Raitti shot dead his wife, Ashraf Khatoon, while she was sleeping in the house and later killed his brother, Sheedoo, at the same place.

The killer escaped after committing the crime. The Warisdino Machi police have registered a case on behalf of the state against the accused.

SSGC: The sacked employees of Sui Southern Gas Company observed a hunger strike at a local park on Friday to press the authorities for the implementation of the Supreme Court verdict, ordering the SSGC to reinstate 720 employees.

MNA Khalid Iqbal Memon visited the hunger strike camp and assured the protesters that the issue would be raised at the floor of the house. He said defiance of the court decision was contempt of the court.

Jeay Sindh Students’ Federation president Suleman Veesar, also visited the camp and supported the cause of protesters.

The protesters announced that the protest would continue till they were reinstated by the company.
