Railway School outclass UAE Juniors

KARACHI, Aug 8: Railway High School defeated touring United Arab Emirates (UAE) Juniors hockey team 3-0 in their opening match at UBL Sports Complex on Friday.

Muhammad Riaz starred in his team’s win by slamming two goals while Farhan Raza scored the other goal.

All three goals were scored in the second session.

Lacking in experience, UAE failed to capitalize their chances as they missed as many as five short penalty corners and besides many other opportunities.

UAE goalkeeper Mahmood Waleed produced outstanding performance by bringing off several saves. Jouhar, Omer Al Shayib and Muhammad Juma Rashed also performed well for touring team.

UAE Juniors will take on Public School Sir Syed in their second match on Saturday at UBL Sports Complex which push-off at 4.00 p.m.
