LAHORE, Aug 5: Law minister Raja Basharat told the house on Tuesday that the provincial government had allocated more funds for revamping the Border Military Police (BMP) and the Baloch Levies to improve the state of law and order in Rajanpur district.
He said that situation in the region bordering Balochistan had been brought under control after the Punjab government provided equipment like wireless sets and vehicles and set up posts for patrolling the area.
He said that the regulations for recruitment of BMP officials were also being amended to revamp the law-enforcement agency. — Staff Reporter
