Musharraf visits Corps HQ

LAHORE, Aug 4: President Gen Pervez Musharraf visited the Corps Headquarters here on Monday and exchanged views on matters of professional interest with Corps Commander Lt-Gen Zarrar Azim.

According to an Inter-Services Public Relations press release, the general was given a detailed briefing on matters pertaining to the state of preparedness, training, administration and welfare of troops.

He appreciated the efforts of all concerned with regard to combat readiness, training and other professional aspects. He stressed the need for further enhancing the combat worthiness and welfare aspects of the troops.

Gen Musharraf said the Pakistan Army was a highly professional outfit and it was imperative that “we continue to maintain and improve the qualitative and moral edge.” — Staff Reporter
