QUETTA, Aug 3: Awami National Party (ANP) central leader Dr Inayatullah Khan has said the LFO issue is meant to defame the elected representatives of the country.

Talking to reporters at a dinner hosted by Awami National Party’s Balochistan chapter on Saturday at Arbab House, he said President Gen Pervez Musharraf was amused with the political wrangling over the issue of LFO as it was meant to defame the elected representatives to show that they were unable to steer out the country of the chaos.

Dr Khan said that dictatorship whether in the form of military or civilian was responsible for the political deadlock and certain forces were out to fail democratic forces.

The Awami National Party leader said that the interference of army in formulating country’s policies was the main reason of political and economic instability.

He stressed unity among the political parties to outwit the forces who were against democratic norms.
