KARACHI, July 30: Owing to the heavy rains, the Korangi Road is completely inundated, but the dwellers of the adjoining localities face no danger.

This was told by the area residents to Naib Nazim of Karachi Mohammad Tariq Hassan during his visit to the area to ascertain the situation along Korangi Road in the wake of heavy rains.

Talking to the dwellers of Mahmoodabad, Manzoor Colony, Bhitai Colony and other areas, Mr Hassan said, “For natural calamities, we should exhibit patience to face such a situation.”

He said that the city government was doing its best to effectively handle the situation emerged after heavy rains in the metropolis.

However, the Naib Nazim said that intermittent rain was affecting the relief work. In spite of this, the city government and all union councils were fully discharging their responsibilities to this end.—APP
