KARACHI, July 29: Braving through thunderstorm with heavy rainfall and gusty winds, Pakistan Navy personnel carried out flood relief operations in the southern and eastern parts of Sindh which have been hit by the current rains.

An ISPR (Navy) press release issued here on Tuesday said the Seaking helicopters of Pakistan Navy reached the remote areas of the province where people had been stranded at isolated places and were desperately waiting for help.

The relief team provided the flood affected people with relief goods including food items and medicines and evacuated the stranded people to safer places.

It said that the Navy had constituted relief teams to combat the hazards of heavy rains. — APP
