KARACHI: Dilapidated buildings vacation

KARACHI, July 29: The technical committee for dilapidated buildings of the Karachi Building Control Authority has again issued notices to the owners and residents of dangerous buildings to immediately vacate the premises for their safety.

The buildings are situated in Keamari and Saddar towns and Bundar Road Quarters, Ramswami Quarters, Arambagh, Tala Ram, Napier Quarters, Wadhomal Odharam Quarters, Preedy Quarters, Lawrence Quarters, Liaquatabad and some Kutchi Abadis.

The committee has warned that as a result of ongoing rains, the dilapidated buildings can, anytime, result in a major human and financial loss and said that in such a case the KBCA would not be responsible.—APP
