Nazim refutes allegations

By Bureau Report

PESHAWAR, July 28: Chitral District Nazim Shahzada Mohiuddin has said that Maulana Abdul Akbar Chitrali was victimizing all those who opposed him during the general elections.

He was responding to allegations levelled by Maulana Chitrali, an MMA parlia-

mentarian from Chitral,

that the Nazim and a former DCO were involved in corruption and inflicted a loss of Rs8 million to the national exchequer in an ongoing road construction project in Garam Chashma tehsil.

Maulana Chitrali’s allegations were carried by Dawn in its Sunday edition.

Mr Mohiuddin, in a statement issued on Monday, said that the process of calling and awarding tender was carried out in a transparent manner by the district administration and there was no loss caused to the national exchequer.
