KARACHI, July 28: Election to the Senate of the University of Karachi from the constituency of college teachers will be held on Aug 27.

As many as 12 teachers of affiliated colleges, having at least three years’ service in an affiliated college, will be elected by teachers of these colleges.

Nomination papers will be accepted from Aug 9 to 11 and the last date for withdrawal of candidature has been fixed as Aug 19. The final list of candidates will also be issued on Aug 19. Objections to the voters’ list, if any, can be filed up to Aug 5.

The polling will be held from 9am to 4pm at four polling stations — Government College for Women, Shahrah-i-Liaquat, Sir Syed Government Girls College, Nazimabad, Government Islamia Arts and Commerce College, and Government College for Women, Korangi.—PPI
