SAHIWAL, July 26: Punjab Chief Minister has given an approval for setting up an agriculture college in Sahiwal and degree colleges in Harappa and Sahiwal.

Speaking at a public meeting here on Saturday, the chief minister said the government would provide 0.4 million jobs to the people during the next fiscal year besides providing one million residential plots to government employees.

He also announced the grant of Rs100 million for water supply and sewerage schemes. He said Rs20 million and Rs35 million would be provided for the provision of gas facility in Sahiwal and Harappa, respectively.

Similarly, he also announced a grant of Rs5 million and Rs1 million for district bars of Sahiwal and Chichawatni, respectively.

Earlier, the CM inaugurated the OPD at the local DHQ Hospital which was built with an expenditure of Rs3.2 million.

PAKPATTAN: Meanwhile, the chief minister has announced Sui gas for Pakpattan and Rs60 million grant for the upgradation of the local DHQ Hospital.

Speaking to a public gathering here on Saturday, the chief minister said the grant announced for the DHQ Hospital would be spent on the construction of different wards, provision of medicines and appointment of doctors and other staff.

The chief minister announced Rs20 million for the construction of police line, Rs5 million for a spacious park in Pakpattan, Rs1 million for Pakpattan district bar, Rs0.5 million for Arifwala Tehsil Bar Council and Rs0.5 million for Pakpattan Press Club.

He also announced the establishment of a technical college and Rs5 million for the expansion of Baba Farid Gunj Shaker (RA) complex. Besides, he said an industrial estate would be setup near Pakpattan.

District Nazim Mian Amjed Joyia, Tehsil Nazim Mian Farrukh Maneka, MNA Ahmed Raza Khan Maneka, MNA Muhammad Shah Khagga, MPA Chaudhry Javed and a large number of people were also present.
