KHAIRPUR, July 26: Gastroenteritis, viral infection and skin diseases have spread in the district after the recent rain.

A total of 60 villages in the Kot Diji taluka, including Bari, Ahmadabad, Zawar Mohammad Bux Bhambhro, Bago Daro, Bozdar Wada and Babar Wada of the Bafo Union Council, and some villages of Naseer Faqir Jalalani and Kumb union councils, besides 40 localities in the Khairpur city, have been hit by these diseases.

Tribesman killed: A Narejo tribesman was shot dead by six motorcyclists on the Civil Hospital Road here on Saturday evening. The man killed was identified as Nooral, 50.

The incident is said to be the result of the ongoing dispute between two groups of Narejo and Jagirani tribes.

ROBBERY: Some armed men robbed Mohammad Qasim Channa of his car near the Mangh Shakh village, Pir Jo Goth, here on Saturday.

Meanwhile, a writer, Lalan Channa, was deprived of his motorcycle here on Friday night.
