KARACHI, July 25: To mark the Madar-e-Millat Year, the Sindh Madressahtul Islam (SMI) is organizing a commemorative programme on the life and services of Mohtarma Fatima Jinnah, which will be held on July 30.

On the occasion, a seminar will be held on the life and services of Mohtarma Fatima Jinnah in the premises of SMI. The federal education minister, Zubaida Jalal, will preside over the seminar. Senior researchers and scholars, including Prof Dr Shariful Mujahid; Prof Dr Riaz Ahmed; Mr Khuwaja Razi Hyder; Mr Rizwan Ahmed and SMI Principal Muhammad Ali Shaikh will address the seminar.

A painting exhibition on the life and struggle of Mohtarma Fatima Jinnah will also be held at the Fine Arts Gallery of Sindh Madressahtul Islam.

Some 18 oil paintings on canvas will be displayed at the exhibition, reflecting different aspects and contribution of Madar-e-Millat, adds APP.

On the same day, the minister will unveil plaque of the SMI Madar-e-Millat Girls Section. Director General of Pakistan Rangers Major General Sallahuddin will unveil a plaque of Allama Iqbal Computer Centre.
