ISLAMABAD, July 24: Interior Minister Faisal Saleh Hayat on Thursday said that the investigation had yielded evidence indicating Quetta killings was an act of terrorism.

A particular sect was targeted by the perpetrators to give it sectarian colour under a planned strategy, the minister told one of the private television channel.

Blaming the incident’s planners of trying to destabilize the country, he said they were trying to create sectarian strife.

Referring to the claim for responsibility by the defunct Lashkar-i-Jhangvi, he said real facts would be revealed once the investigation was completed, stressing that there was no doubt about its being an act of terrorism.—APP
