MIRPURKHAS, July 24: Vice-president of Sindh Abadgar Board Haji Abdul Ghafoor Mahar, advocate, has accused Hesco Sindhri sub-division lineman Choudhry Nazim of corruption.

Talking to newsmen on Wednesday, he said the official was demanding bribe from his peasants and on refusal he disconnected the power supply to them.

He said the official was involved in pilfering electricity. He demanded of Hesco chief and executive engineer Sanghar division to take notice of this matter.

strike: Jewellers observed a complete strike here on Thursday, demanding cleanliness of their area and withdrawal of an FIR against 40 persons.

The Mirpurkhas Sarafa Association had given the call for the strike.
