Ijaz voted best boxer

RAWALPINDI, July 23: Army A won the All-Pakistan Brig Rodham Junior Boxing Championship late on Tuesday at the Army Stadium.

Punjab’s Ijaz Ahmed who won the light flyweight title beating Army A’s Jalal Kashif was voted the best boxer of the meet.

Results of Tuesday’s late bouts: (Gold, silver, bronze)

Middleweight: Ahmad Nawaz (Army B), Nauman Khan (Railways), Ali Raza (Punjab), Azhar Khan (Army A)

Light heavyweight: Fakhar-e-Alam (Army B), Abid Hussain (Army A), Hafiz (Railways), Asif Raza (Sindh)

Heavyweight: Yasir Bilal (Army B), Shahzad (Railways), Ijaz Jan (NWFP), Muhammad Zahoor Khan (Army A)

Light flyweight: Ijaz Ahmed (Punjab), Jalal Kashif (Army A), Muhammad Amjad (Army B), Wali Muhammad (KPT)

Featherweight: Samiullah (KPT), Adnan Khan (Army B), Akbar Ali, Asim Rashid (Army A).
