SCA names selection committees
KARACHI, July 23: Sindh Cricket Association (SCA) on Wednesday named its selection committee to pick Karachi and Hyderabad teams for PCB Inter-regional Under-19 cricket tournament commencing from Aug 11.
SCA secretary Muhammad Aslam Sanjrani will head the selection committees, says a news release issuedon Wednesday.
Former Test cricketer Aftab Baloch, Asif Ahmed, Jamil Gul, Saleem Yousuf and Jalaluddin will be member of selection committee for Karachi. Hyderabad selection committee included Aftab Baloch, Naeem Mughal, Mahfooz Ali and Azeem Hafeez.
In the meantime SCA will be holding trials for the selection of two regional under-19 teams from Sindh, Karachi and Hyderabad. Trials for Karachi under-19 team will be held at National Stadium Karachi (NSK) on Aug 2 0 at 2.00pm.
SCA has advised Karachi City Cricket Association (KCCA) to send 35 promising players of their district under-19 cricketers with their performance in PCB Inter-district competition for trials. Trials to select Hyderabad will be held at NSK on Sunday (Aug 2) at 9.00am. The players of interior Sindh are also eligible to appear in the trials.—APP
