Kohat police awarded Rs100,000

KOHAT, July 23: Kohat District Nazim Malik Asad has announced a grant of Rs100,000 for Rescue-15 police and approved the construction of two additional rooms for the crisis management unit at the Liaquat Memorial Hospital on Wednesday.

Speaking at a function jointly organised by the Kohat police and Khidmat-i-Khalq organisation in honour of senior doctors and elders of the area, he praised the police officials for regularly holding blood donation camps in different parts of the district for the help of more than 300 cancer patients, including children.

The district Nazim also granted the district domicile to SSP Abid Ali.

It is worth mentioning here that the police force had promised blood for 60 cancer patients three times in a month on permanent basis.

Kohat region DIG Ghulam Mohammad, speaking on the occasion, announced to give a fully-equipped ambulance to the Rescue-15 and thanked the doctors for cooperating with the police in organising blood donation camps in which over 2,500 patients had been provided help, including free tests and medicines during last three months.

SSP Abid Ali stressed that besides crime control the police should keep a close liaison with social organisations and extend all possible help to the government in the fight against poverty and supporting the poor to remove the sense of deprivation from the society.
