KARACHI: KESC assured of prompt funding

KARACHI, July 23: The federal government has assured the Karachi Electric Supply Corporation that it would timely release the funds for rehabilitating the KESC’s power generation, transmission and distribution system.

This was informed by KESC Managing Director Brig Tariq Saddozai in a meeting with the high officials on Wednesday at the corporation’s head office on return from Islamabad after meeting President Musharraf.

In order to provide uninterrupted power supply to consumers, he told the KESC engineers and officials for implementation of ‘Fast Track’ project in accordance with the System Improvement Plan.

He stressed upon engineers to gear up work on war footings to improve supply for satisfaction of the electricity consumers.

Brig Saddozai informed the officials that President Musharraf commended present efforts and extended all-out support to the KESC.—PPI
