KARACHI: Centralization move by Nadra criticized

KARACHI, July 23: The Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal (MMA) has described centralization of computerized NICs centres at Awami Markaz as “a bid to create difficulties for masses.”

“Nadra’s decision to issue CNICs from a centralized centre will create immense hardships for masses,” MNAs Mohammad Hussain Mahenti, Abdul Sattar Afghani and Mohammad Laiq of MMA said in joint statement.

They observed that restricting people to only one centre for getting their CNICs was ‘mysterious’ and a deliberate attempt to create hardship for citizens.

People are already facing difficulties owing to insufficient arrangements made by Nadra for the preparation and delivery of CNICs, they said. —PPI
