By Our Sports Correspondent

LAHORE, July  21:  All three  matches  in  the PCB Under-19 Inter-district Cricket Tournament of Lahore Region ended in  a draw at different grounds on Monday. At  LCCA Ground, an unbeaten century by Atif Ijaz enabled  East Zone Whites earn a 111-run lead in a drawn game against North Zone Blues  by  accumulating a first innings total of  246  for  seven declared in 70 overs.

Batting first, North Zone Blues scored  135 in  the first innings.

North  Zone Blues were 12 for two in second innings  when  the rains started, making the further play impossible.

Fine  bowling by pacer Sajjad Khan (four for 57)  helped  West Zone  Whites  to end their drawn game against North  Zone  Whites with an upper hand at the Gaddafi Stadium. Sajjad’s tidy bowling had reduced West Zone Whites to 215  for eight in 58 overs, while chasing North Zone Whites first  innings total of 268 before the rains stopped any further proceedings and both the teams shared points.

A magnificent century by Abid Ali and later fine leg  spinners by  Azhar Ali guided West Zone Blues to force East Zone Blues  to follow-on  in  the  match  which  later  ended  in  draw  at  the Mughalpura Institute Ground.
