Five killed as wagons collide

SIALKOT, July 20: Five people were killed and around 22 others sustained serious injuries on Sunday in an accident on Sialkot-Daska Road near Raajokey village, Daska tehsil.

An overloaded wagon (KHI-891-698), coming to Daska from Sialkot, collided head-on with another wagon (DCD-9694) at high speed, killing five passengers instantly. While some 22 passengers, including children and women, suffered critical injuries.

As of now, only two deceased persons were identified. They were Fayaz Khan of Gahukal village, Daska, and Rafique of Sialkot.

The majority of the injured were shifted to private hospitals at Daska as only one doctor and a dispenser were available at the Daska DHQ Hospital.
