Books donated to Sindh University

HYDERABAD, July 19: A scholar of Persian and former director of the Institute of Languages, University of Sindh, Dr Nabi Bux Kazi, on Saturday donated 2,546 books to the university for its central library.

Many of the books are on English and Persian grammars while 1,000 books are related to Islamic literature, 1,000 books are on history and others pertain to Persian literature, which were published during 1954 to 2000. These books are written in English and Urdu languages.

SCHOLARSHIP: The registrar, University of Sindh, on Saturday announced that the Higher Education Commission would conduct a test for selection of university/college/institute teachers for award of PhD scholarships for Germany and Austria on July 25 at the auditorium of the department of physics of the university.
