KARACHI, July 19: The World Islamic Mission has demanded of the United Nations to allow relief organizations to directly proceed to Iraq and provide the much-needed assistance to the poor people.
This was stated by Abdur Rahman Mustafai, general secretary WIM and director World Islamic Mission Welfare Trust, UK, at a news conference on Saturday.
He said that so far the Trust had distributed medicines, and other goods, including dry milk worth 100,000 pound sterling among Iraqis. Part of the consignment was procured from Syria and even in Baghdad.
He said next relief caravan would soon leave for Baghdad where he claimed that millions of people have been dislocated.
