William assumes duties

LAHORE, July 15: New Principal Officer of the US Consulate in Lahore William Howe assumed his duties after his arrival here on Sunday.

He replaces Mr Sheldon Rapoport, who served in Lahore for four years before his retirement.

An announcement by the US Consulate said on Tuesday, Mr Howe served as vice consul in the Punjab capital in 1996-97. He has also served in Addis Ababa in Ethiopia and Colombo in Sri Lanka. He has most recently completed a Department of State assignment in Washington DC. — Staff Reporter
