KARACHI, July 15: A constitutional petition filed by Qari Gul Rehman, member of the National Assembly from NA-239 challenging the recounting of votes, was dismissed here on Tuesday by a bench of the High Court of Sindh, comprising Justice S.A.Sarwana and Justice Musheer Alam.

The bench had earlier reserved the order which was announced today (Tuesday) by the bench comprising Justice S.A Sarwana and Justice Zia Pervez.

The recounting was ordered by an election tribunal comprising a judge of the SHC in an election petition filed by Iftikhar Hussain who lost to Qari Gul Rehman in the October 2002 general election.—APP
