DPs’ repatriation to gain pace, says minister

Bureau Report

PESHAWAR, July 14: Federal Minister for Water and Power Aftab Ahmad Khan Sherpao has said that repatriation of the Afghan refugees will gain momentum as the political situation in Afghanistan becomes more stable.

Addressing elders of the refugees at Dargai in Malakand Agency on Monday the minister said that he had held useful negotiations with President Karzai and other senior leaders of Afghanistan during his recent visit to Kabul.

He assured that Pakistan would continue giving assistance to refugees till they return to their homeland.

Deploring the attack on Pakistan embassy in Kabul he said that some elements were trying to undermine the relations between the two neighbouring countries and create problems.
