AIOU to offer admissions from August 1

ISLAMABAD, July 14: The Allama Iqbal Open University will offer admissions to various disciplines for Semester Autumn 2003 from preliminary to PhD level from August 1.

The admissions will be offered all over the country and nine countries in the Middle East, simultaneously.

The university will offer admissions to PhD in Arabic, Iqbal studies, Islamic studies, education, MPhil in chemistry, Iqbal studies, Islamic studies, food and nutrition, mass communication, MSc in community health and nutrition, economics, forestry extension, Pakistan studies, MA in Arabic, history, Islamic studies, TEFL and Urdu in the semester Autumn 2003.

The university will also offer admissions to postgraduate diploma in computer science, dietetics for dietitians, nutrition for physicians, TEFL, women studies and executive MBA and executive MPA, in collaboration with Commonwealth of Learning (Canada).

In bachelor programmes, admissions will be offered to BS (computer science), BCS (old scheme) converted to BS (CS), BE (telecommunication), BE (automobile), BTech diploma in vision sciences, bachelor of commerce (BCom), bachelor of mass communication, bachelor of library and information science (BLIS), bachelor of arts (BA) while to higher secondary school certificate, FA/FSc, family and community health, home economics, ICom, pre-engineering and pre-medical.
