JACOBABAD, July 14: Two police constables were injured in an encounter with dacoits in the Mir Jan Brohi village in the jurisdiction of the Bugti Colony police station, Kandhkot Taluka, on Monday.

The TPO of Kandhkot was tipped off about the presence of dacoits. So with a heavy contingent of police the TPO headed for the Mir Jan Brohi village, where an encounter took place with the dacoits which lasted about two hours.

The dacoits used rocket launchers as a result of which a police mobile was damaged and two constables, Adlo Khan Lashari and Aminullah Noonari, were injured.

Four dacoits identified as Thangai Jafri, Hakim Bukhrani, Salam Nindwani and Mor Bakhrani were arrested, while five managed to escape on motorcycles.

Police recovered two rocket launchers, two Kalashnikovs, and a motorcycle from their possession.

The injured constables were taken to the Chandka Hospital Larkana.
