KARACHI: Plea against BIE chief


KARACHI, July 14: Sindh Ombudsman Justice (r) Haziqul Khairi has admitted the complaint of a visually impaired lecturer against the Chairman of the Board of Intermediate Education, Karachi.

The BIE chairman has been directed to clarify his position on Tuesday (July 15) with regard to the allegation, made in the appeal, of a discriminatory attitude against visually handicapped teachers associated with education department.

The complainant, Mumtaz Umar, who is a lecturer in the Government Degree Science and Commerce College, Landhi. had approached the ombudsman office through Madadgar, Country Helpline for Child and Impaired Citizens.—APP
