KARACHI: PTCL link restored

Published July 14, 2003

KARACHI, July 13: Clarifying a news-item titled ‘Karachi’s outgoing phone links cut off’, which appeared in Dawn’s Sunday issue, a spokesman for the Pakistan Telecommunication Company said on Sunday that the outgoing phone links of Karachi were working perfectly on Saturday except the signalling link of one exchange.

“Out of 48 exchanges in Karachi, signalling link of Cantt-IV Exchange got disturbed at 8:35pm on Saturday, but that too was restored by the PTCL engineers in less than one hour,” the spokesman added.
