Ranking snooker from July 26

KARACHI, July 12: The 7th edition of Red and White Cup National Ranking Snooker Championship will be now be held at Snooker Area Club, Gizri, from July 26 to Aug 11, Pakistan Billiards Snooker announced on Saturday.

The event was earlier to be held at Muslim Gymkhana from July 18 to 24 but due to lack of international standard tables the event was delayed and shifted to a new venue.

Snooker Area Club management has promised to provide new tables of international standard plus all other facilities required by the association.

As the new venue is under renovation and work was expected to be completed by July 15 and thus was dates for championship.

Country’s leading 32 cueists will be featuring in the week-long competition which carries prize money of Rs 187,000.

At the end of the championship, two-member Pakistan team for world championship on the basis of national snooker ranking will be finalized.—APP
