LANDI KOTAL, July 12: Bara subdivision of Water and Power Development Authority (Wapda) in Khyber Agency has begun work on the installation of an additional 20/26mva transformer to overcome problems caused by low voltage in the area.
The old 10/13mva transformer at Bara grid station was overloaded resulting in frequent power failures.
The installation would be completed in one month, Alamzeb Afridi, line superintendent at Alamgudar grid station told Dawn.
The new transformer will serve old Bara, Munara, Kareegar and Akakhel areas.
