PAAF trials next month

ISLAMABAD, July 11: The Pakistan Amateur Athletics Federation (PAAF) is to hold open trials on Aug 11 at the Jinnah Stadium to select a team for this September’s 15th Asian Championships in Manila.

The trials which will start at 7.30am will have 14 events for men and six for women athletes. These would be followed by a meeting of the selection committee.

The men’s events are 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, 1500m, 110m hurdles, 400m hurdles, 3000m steeple chase, high jump, long jump, triple jump, discus throw, hammer throw and javelin throw. The women’s events include 100m, 200m, 800m, long jump, shot putt and javelin throw.

The Asian Championships are to be held between September 20 and 23.
