Spanish visas issue still unsolved

By Our Sports Correspondent

LAHORE, July 11: The matter whether to issue Spanish visas to the Pakistan  swimming  squad  for its participation  in  the  World Swimming Championship has been deferred for Tuesday.

The championships in which, diving, water polo and swimming events are included is scheduled to begin at Barcelona, Spain from Sunday. The swimming event is to begin from July 20.

Pakistan Swimming Federation, had submitted the visas documents to the Spanish Embassy in Islamabad on July 2, but the case is still pending.

PSF secretary, Kamran Butt, who returned to lahore from Islamabad told journalists that the squad was to go on Monday. But now the programme would be rescheduled and very likely the squad would now leave for Spain on July 17 subject to visas.
